My First Blog EVER!

So it is now 2 a.m., there is nothing on t.v., my book is complete, and no one is online... So what am I doing up?

Your guess is probably as good as mine...

With nothing else to do, and with no intention to sleep, it must be a great time to get this blog thing off the ground. Which, to be honest, I have been dreading...a little bit.

Why fear writing a blog you ask? Well people of the Internet, I do not intend to change the world with my words. I do not intend to dazzle people with my wit, and I certainly do not feel that blogging is my claim to fame. I have, however, felt a familiar wave of nervousness for the last week when I wanted to start an entry. Questions popping in and out of my head....

"What will be my blog about?"
"What point-of-view should I write my blog from?"
"Should I end all of my blogs with a question? Or is that too much like a certain Sex in the City Journalist?"

So here I am... 2 a.m., writing my first blog entry... EVER, and I do not care. So perhaps that will be my hook. I will just stay up until there is nothing else to do but blog...

I doubt it.

So whatever my hook will end up being (if I ever get one), I can always remember that my first blog entry was written while I was sitting at my desk, in the dark, at 2 in the morning, with Chris Rock telling his jokes about strippers... now if that just doesn't want you to go out and scrapbook, I don't know what will.

Perhaps it is time to sleep .... just maybe
